Hynds gets off the mark
Co Down trainer Noel Hynds saddled his first winner ‘under rules’ when 10/1 shot Farmaland landed the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle.
Hynds who hails from Dromore in County Down also works part time as a farrier and has saddled many point to point winners.
Andrew McNamara who was aboard the Dr Massini gelding came with a well timed run to lead close home and deny Pistol Jack by a head.
Winning trainer Hynds said afterwards: “It was great to get the win. He will probably have a little break now he’s been on the go for awhile.”
“Andy said he should jump a fence so we’ll probably go down that route next.”
