Jet Setting Johnny (10/3) put himself in the shop window after gamely landing the beginners' chase on Cork's card.
This Jet Away gelding came through for Hugh Horgan between the final two fences, but the pair were strongly pressed in the closing stages of the run-in by a rallying Thedancingfarrier (33/1).
Jet Setting Johnny found most to fend off that rival by half a length with Noble Blue the 2/1 favourite, another four and three-quarter lengths back in third.
Trainer Ellmarie Holden said: "That was a long time coming but we got there in the end and Hugh, who is with me full-time now, knows him inside out.Â
"It looked positive coming here today from a good run the last day although we were concerned about the ground.
"The initial plan was to sell him after point-to-pointing him, but that didn't work out although he is for sale now.
"We had a recent point-to-point double (at Dromahane last Saturday) including five-year-old point-to-point winner Frisby who will join Jet Setting Johnny and another four or five of our horses to sell at an upcoming Doncaster sale."
