Gary Carson
Herself follows up with ease
Is Herself About followed up on her success at the course last month when running out an easy winner of the mares hurdle at Thurles.
The two-mile contest looked weak for a winners' event and so it proved as the 1/2 favourite cantered to a 21 length success.
Davy Russell let his mount take over from Taralga five from home and the race was over as a contest at the third last as the favourite stretched clear.
David O'Brien 's charge did take a chance at the second last but no harm was done and she went on to claim a bloodless victory.
"She's improving but it was a mediocre race," said O'Brien. "She has a nice pedigree. We'll try and get some black type with her."
