Hasten Slowly stepped up on two promising initial runs to make it third time lucky in the Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden at Leopardstown.
An unlucky in running seventh on debut at this track early last month, the Noel Meade trained filly came forward from that outing to fill third place at Gowran Park last time.
Well supported from 11-2 into 7-2 prior to the off here, Colin Keane had the daughter of Kessaar well positioned in the box seat just behind the pace setters.
Switched out from the rail to make her challenge early in the straight, she first picked off favourite Wartime Warrior before running down the well fancied Semblance Of Order in the shadows of the post.
“I'm glad she won as a lot of the two-year-olds have been running well without winning,” said Meade.
“We think she's quite nice and we think that the filly that was third is very nice as well.
“Just because they've been running so green, when we run them, I said we'd better run the other one as well.
“Colin said she's still very laid back, he always thought he had Wayne covered but then when he had him beat he said she was like 'what is going on here' and was dawdling about.
“She's a nice filly, strong filly and loves fast ground. We'll see where we go now and see what the handicapper does.”
