Halpin follows up Galway Heroics at Sligo

The Patrick Prendergast trained Splashtop justified 100/30 favouritism to win the Ladies Day At Sligo 7th August Nursery Handicap at Sligo today, scoring for in form apprentice jockey Gary Halpin.
Halpin, successful on Vastonea in the high profile Topaz Mile at Galway last week, was steering Splashtop to a maiden win and later stated “she's very straightforward and jumped and travelled away. I was able to get a 'posi' on her and she's an easy ride. She got there a furlong down and she quickened well and did what she needed to do.”
