Hasanour has hit form with a vengeance and made it two wins on the bounce when grabbing the glory in the mile handicap at the Curragh.

Mick Halford’s four-year-old Giant’s Causeway gelding won an extended mile handicap at the Galway Festival by a head in a fast time. He received a 7lb rise in the weights to run off 78 today.

Shane Foley stoked up the 7/2 favourite to grab the initiative a furlong and a half out and the pair resolutely galloped to the line, two and a half lengths in front of Beaut Satchel (6/1). No Dominion at 4/1 was a further half a length away in third.

“I thought he got enough for winning at Galway. He is improving and they went a good gallop which probably made it a test which he enjoyed. He is a well-bred horse and he is starting to find his way and he is improving with racing. You'd have to like him, his attitude is great. He might stay further they way he is bred.

“He shows plenty of pace at home and he wasn't lacking for it there. Shane said that is a nice trip for him. He did that grand and we will see where he goes. He is in the Cambridgeshire next weekend and we will see if that is enough to get him into it.”
