Half Nutz enhanced his fine track record at Naas when landing the EquisoftLive Handicap in the hands of Andrew Slattery.
It was fifth career victory for the Sir Prancealot gelding and the last three of those wins have come over six furlongs at Naas at odds of 12/1, 11/1 and on this occasion 10/1.
Held up in rear by Slattery, the 4-year-old made headway between horses inside the final quarter mile before bursting to the front well inside the final furlong.
He ran on strongly to beat Sounds Of Spring by a length and three quarters with Huddle Up another three quarters of a length away in third.
Winning trainer Sheila Lavery was recording her 16th winner of the season (previous best was 15 in 2019) and said: “He’s in the Horses-In-Training Sale so I’ll have to talk with the syndicate.
“He’s been losing ground out of the stalls but he ran really well in Dundalk last week. He likes it here and the ground suited him.”
