Gun Shoot wins and goes around again

Gun Shoot was on such good terms with herself that she went around again after landing the Guinness Claiming Race at Sligo, to maintain the good form of the Pat Martin string.
Martin had a brace at Fairyhouse last week and there were punters that expected his Strategic Prince mare to go and do the business here too, as she came in from double figures earlier in the day into a starting price of 5/1. Elusive Gent was also popular 'in the offices' and he put it up to his rivals from the front. However he had no answer whatsoever when Gun Shoot (Chris Hayes up) took over entering the straight as she went away to triumph by six lengths.
"Pat unfortunately didn't make it on time. I couldn't pull her up and met Pat coming in the road. He gave a big wave and a cheer and actually helped me pull her up as I was in trouble before that!" revealed Hayes.
"He told me to keep it simple and switch her off. They went hard and played into my hands.
"She won snugly and will obviously get further. She's good value for what she is in for. Hopefully Pat holds on to her and I can get a spin on her again.
"It's safe fast ground out there."
Raymond Moore claimed Gun Shoot for 5,000 Euros.
