The T.J. Nagle trained Milan Bound gained an overdue maiden win in the concluding Ian Smith Memorial (Pro/Am) Bumper at Fairyhouse today.
Ridden by Katie Walsh, the son of Milan battled well in the straight to see off the challenge of point to point winner Now I Win Again by three and a half lengths.
Regarding the winner's failure to win in his previous four starts (form figures 4232), Nagle later joked “it has either been bad training or he's been unlucky!
He added “we think he's alright and he's a winner now so we'll leave him off - its job done.”
