The feature race of the day, the Alternate Xmas Party with the Chevys (Q.R) Race saw a game winner in the Noel Meade trained Gay Sloane after he ran out a 9 length winner in the hands of Nina Carberry.

Winning trainer Meade said afterwards: “It’s always a help having Nina on-board. The plan was always to go out in front.”

“We were worried that ground may have gone to soft for him but obviously it hadn’t.”
