Despite being friendless in the market, the Jim Bolger trained Sometimesadiamond managed to get off the mark on her first attempt, as she took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
As short as 5/1 in early shows, the daughter of Vocalised proved very easy to back on-course, drifting from an opening show of 14s, out to a starting price of 20/1.
Settled behind the leaders by Kevin Manning, she was ridden to challenge with under two furlongs to race.
She had a good battle with Butterscotch from over a furlong out, before gaining the upper hand in the closing stages, going on to score by half a length.
The aforementioned Butterscotch was sent off the 11/8 favourite, and she had to settle for second under Seamie Heffernan for Aidan O'Brien.
Newcomer My Mystique was another length and a quarter back in third under Colin Keane. The Ger Lyons trained filly was returned at 5/2, having been as big as 11/2 in the morning.
Ger Flynn, assistant trainer to Jim Bolger, said afterwards: "We seem to have a nice bunch of two-year-old's. Kevin said she was a bit green in the closing stages and still has a bit to learn.
"She can step up to seven furlongs, and she handled that surface well."
