Beer With The Boys was mowed down late by Spring Morning who was the sole horse to come down the stands' side in the first split of the extended mile and a half handicap in Tipperary.
Dylan Browne McMonagle set out to make all on Beer With The Boys and he had the field hard at work coming to the final furlong.
Shane Foley plotted a wide route on Spring Morning and she surged home in the final furlong to nab the leader in the closing stages and won without Foley getting serious.
This gave the jockey a double as he also steered Moss Tucker home in the opener.
Yvonne Latta 's charge won by two lengths at 18/1 from 13/2 Beer With The Boys. Barometer (16/1) and Kalmira (18/1) gave their backers a place dividend in third and fourth respectively.
The trainer's son Andrew Latta said: "She had a good run here a year and a half ago and got hurt travelling in the box one day, and we had to give her a load of time off. She had two very ordinary runs over hurdles recently but bounced back today and did it well in the end.
"She is very keen and hard on herself so the two hurdle runs may have settled her down a bit. Hopefully she'll run in Killarney in ten days and the way she stayed on there, she will definitely go back over hurdles."
