Finn and Doyle seen to good effect
The O'Dwyer Steel Like-A-Butterfly Novice Chase was won by the Susan Finn trained Baltiman ridden by Tom Doyle and owned by Cryil Wall.
Doyle went out and made all, he was strongly pressed approaching straight but kept on well to hold off the efforts of the 11/8 favourite Footy Facts with Davy Russell doing the steering by 4 ? lengths.
Susan Finn trainer said afterwards, "That's my biggest success to date and that was my first ever runner in a graded race. He's a great jumper and loves fences. We felt that 2 ? might have been a bit far for him but he did it well. We will give him a break now and bring him back at the end of the November."
