The Shark Hanlon trained It's All An Act gained a first hurdle win in the Thistle Cheltenham Hotel Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse today, completing a double on the day for jockey Mark Enright.
The son of Presenting had previously won two bumpers before winning over fences at Sligo last month and was officially one pound well-in today, having finished third in another handicap hurdle at Tramore on Thursday
Following today's win, Hanlon stated “he's probably a 115 or 116 horse over fences so off that mark over hurdles he's entitled to win. The other day in Tramore he was too keen and never got time to settle.
“He's in again at Punchestown on Thursday; he's after being busy but if he comes out of this fresh, he might see another day out.”
“He's in the November sales and the Mees (owners) always send two or three to the sales and he's one they picked out. He's one I wouldn't like to lose but they always replace them.”
