Ellaat was another well backed winner at Fairyhouse tonight when claiming the first division of the La Bucca Restaurants Handicap.
Noel Kelly 's charge went to post the 3/1 favourite in the mile-and-a-half contest having been 7/1 this morning.
The Heeraat gelding travelled stylishly well to challenge two furlongs from home and Joey Sheridan sent his mount on over a furlong out.
He went on to record a length-and-three-quarters success over Quiet Desire
“He did it very well. The ground was probably a bit soft for him the last day (8th in Cork) and caught him out a bit,” said Kelly.
“He's improving all the time. A good field of horses nearly suits him better as they go a truer gallop.
“We were a bit worried about the mile-four trip but he seems to handle it alright.
“We'll probably look for another Flat race in two or three weeks. He seems to be better fresh, he doesn't handle too many runs quickly.”
