Duff Lands a Deserved Group 3
Duff who does so much of his racing cross-channel, returned to home soil for the first time since his Platinum Stakes success at Cork last August when capturing the Group 3 Ballycorus Stakes under Fran Berry who had been twice previously successful aboard the six-year-old.
The Spinning World gelding was making the breakthrough at this level having been fourth in the event two years ago and he was always just about going to hold off the fast finishing Dohasa the margin between the pair being a neck.
Winning trainer, Eddie Lynam said: "That is well deserved. He has won four Listed races over three different trips and it is good to get a Group 3 win with him. He has an entry at Ascot in the Golden Jubilee and we might as well have a go. He owes us nothing."
