Drunken Sailor wins opener at Gowran Park
The opening race this afternoon at Gowran Park, The Green Fee Vouchers 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle was won by the Paul Flynn trained Drunken Sailor ridden by Mick Darcy and owned by the Mayor of Longford Jim Keogh.
Winning trainer Flynn said afterwards, "He has done a lot of jumping at home and has been foot perfect. We fancied him here today without the favourite. We've no plans for him yet, he has been on the go for awhile so we might give him a break before Christmas although he does get a little mad when he has a day off."
