Double for Lyons & Keane as Pose wins again
Elegant Pose leads home Gustavus Vassa

After winning the opener with Masucci, Ger Lyons and Colin Keane doubled-up with Elegant Pose in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race.
Successful on debut at the Curragh in May, the Anamoine Limited owned filly was available at 7/4 last night, opening on-course at just 8/11, before going off the clear favourite at 4/6.
Settled in fourth, she improved to challenge from the two furlong pole, and was soon pushed to the front, keeping on well in the final furlong to score by a length and three parts.
Down Royal winner Gustavus Vassa (12/1) ran well to finish second under Chris Hayes for Andy Oliver, while Branch Line was another five lengths back in third.
"It was very similar to what Colin said about the first one, she was clueless when she hit the front and she would have needed it like we thought," said Lyons.
"We said going out that we'd ride her like it's her first run as opposed to her second as she had so much time off. We had to bring her back from scratch.
"He said she was completely clueless, doesn't want any quicker ground than that, but she's a lovely filly and you wouldn't have any problem bringing her back to a mile.
"She's a nice one but we've always trained her with next year in mind. I don't imagine that we'll do too much more with her this summer. Hopefully next year she becomes a stakes filly for the owner.
"We'll talk to Patrick (Cooper) when we get home but I can't imagine we'll overdo her this year."
The successful daughter of Elusive Pimpernel is a half-sister to nine time winning stable mate Brendan Brackan.
