Destiny completes quick Meade double
Noel Meade completed a quick double in the last at Gowran Park as Sword Of Destiny claimed the concluding bumper.
Nina Carberry forced his head in front near the line for a neck success after a protracted duel with Allee Garde
The runner-up, sent off 13/8f, cut out the running under Patrick Mullins, but was joined by the grey early in the straight.
The pair were head-to-head inside the final furlong with the Gigginstown-owned gelding just edging ahead near the line.
"After Joe Smooth let us down so badly it's nice to get our first winner for the owner," said Meade.
"That's it for bumpers. He's a lovely big horse that needs time to fill out."
Meade had also claimed the preceding three-mile handicap hurdle with Killeenmore
