Deserved win for Glen at Clonmel

Three to one chance Maguire's Glen became the third winning favourite of the session at Clonmel when landing the Kilsheelan Handicap Chase for Liz Doyle and Donagh Meyler.
Meyler sported the silks of Doyle's mother Avril, aboard the Craigsteel gelding.
Third here a fortnight back, and this time over a longer trip, Maguire's Glen put in a race winning spurt when taking over away from the second last fence.
That little change of gear then enabled the now three time victor to keep his durable rival, Black Zero at bay up the run-in, by a length at the line.
"The extra few furlongs suited and he deserved that. He was never right last year, and has taken time to come right. It's been three years since he's won, and he might be sold now," reported Miss Doyle.
