Ask Anything sealed a brace of winners in the north for Gavin Cromwell and Kieren Buckley when justifying favouritism in the beginners' chase.
The 'jolly' travelled well into second after three out and got on terms at the next where he wasn't foot perfect.
He made a mistake at the final flight, but grabbed the lead on the run-in and stayed on nicely to post a three-quarter-length success. Joshua Webb (8/1) took the runner-up berth and was the same distance in front of Jumping Jet (7/2).
Buckley said: "I sat on him a few times at home, so I do know the horse. I chatted to Keith Donoghue as well.
"He has done it well in the end, he was good and hardy up to the line.
"He didn't jump as well as he can - I'm not sure what the reason for that was, maybe because it was a messy race.
"No it doesn't (Clonmel race didn't seem to leave a mark on him) and it can do because on the heavy it can really take its toll on them. He's a hardy individual.
"I went through a period of what felt like forever during the summer (without a winner). I had a winner for Michael Butler in Roscommon and then say July-time I didn't get another winner until the end of October, start of November. A couple of days after that I broke my ribs and I was out for a month.
"I had a testing few months from the middle of the summer to the start of the season proper.
"It is flying now and it is great to get a bit of momentum with the claim just gone."
Cromwell and Buckley also teamed up with The Other Mozzie in race two.
