Massaman recorded consecutive wins today at the Curragh, landing the Barberstown Castle Handicap
for trainer Jack Davison, owners JPD Partnership and jockey Gary Halpin.
The son of Mehmas had previously won at Dundalk in December and today was produced from mid-field to lead close home and score by half a length from Knocknakilla
Afterwards Davidson said “it was a well executed ride and it all worked out well.
“It’s a slow maturing family and I’d say he’s a horse that may come down further in trip but for the time being a mile is fine. He’s only really starting to get the message now and I’d be hoping he can continue to improve.”
