The Red Menace scored by a nose for them earlier, and Aint Dunne Yet (6/5) was a bit more convincing when doubling up for Noel Meade and Sean Flanagan in race four at Leopardstown.
This Leopardstown Membership Beginners Chase afforded Aint Dunne Yet opportunity to gain some compensation after an unfortunate incident at Fairyhouse just over a week back.
He tripped over Dakota Moirette at the back of the last when that rival came down at the County Meath venue. Sean Flanagan got unseated off the Flemensfirth gelding when looking assured of victory.
This time Aint Dunne Yet (Flanagan up again) wasn't fluent at the last, but he was travelling much more smoothly than Mastermind That opponent sprawled on landing at the same point to get rid of Bryan Cooper.
In the end the all-the-way scorer had no less than fifty four lengths to spare over Carter Mckay (13/8 second favourite).
“Because he’s by Flemensfirth I always thought he wouldn’t like good ground but he floated around Fairyhouse last week and because he came home so well that’s why I stuck him in here," stated Meade.
“Even on Friday morning Noel (O’Brien, owner/breeder) was saying I’m not sure about running him but I said we’d leave it until the last minute and hopefully the rain will come which it did. Even before racing it was still quite quick.
“All he had to do was stand up there I suppose but we’ll paddle on and see where we go. He could go for a novice handicap at Fairyhouse, and I’d say two and a half would suit him a lot better.
“He jumps so well that it gives him an extra length.”
