Comfort Line (9/1) got the better of Mosala to take division one of the LimerickRaces.ie Maiden in the hands of Gary Carroll.
The three-year-old grey made headway in the final quarter of a mile of this eight-furlong contest.
He improved to lead a furlong and a half out and stayed on best to beat the challenging Mosala (3/1) by three parts of a length. El Padre was four lengths further back in third at 9/1.
Trainer Michael Mulvany said: "Leigh (Roche) felt he didn't get home the last day and I think he will get ten furlongs eventually as he is still maturing.
"He'll go to Galway for a 3yo handicap next.
"The family only get better with age and I hope he will develop into the horse I think he is."
