Ask The Leader

Ask The Leader (9/1) repeated last year’s victory in the Kingdom Healthcare Handicap Hurdle.
Once again partnered by Darragh O’Keeffe, the six-year-old tracked the leaders before being sent to the front after the second-last. Also a winner over a longer trip at this venue last October, she wasn’t going to be found wanting for stamina and galloped on strongly to beat Unlaoised and Darkest Hour by three and a half lengths and four lengths.
About Mark Nunan
Mark has followed racing since he was a teenager and worked for many years as a broadcaster with the Irish version of Racecall. He joined the Press Association in 2019 and is also a contributor to the Racing Post. A native of Kildare, he now lives in Sligo.
