Bridge Run scores for Meade/Carberry
Paul Carberry gained compensation for the loss of his ride of Harchibald following the abandonment of Newcastle today, with a win on Noel Meade's Bridge Run in the Kildownet Group Business Chase at Fairyhouse instead.
Meade subsequently reported "the Newcastle meeting was called off just as Paul (Carberry) was about to board a flight so we were lucky to have him here today."
He added "Bridge Run looked a really good horse earlier in his career but things didn't go his way. However he looks back to form now and will probably go to Leopardstown over Christmas next."
Carberry was subsituting for Emmet Mullins.
