Mark Enright delivered Brian Who with a strong run in the straight to land the spoils in the Irish Field Handicap Hurdle.
Eddie Cawley 's charge was settled towards the back in the early stages of the 2m6f event before taking closer order turning for home.
The 13/2 shot challenged at the second last and soon hit the lead. He kept on well in the closing stages to post a four-and-a-quarter length verdict over long-time leader Happy New Year
The winner had chased home Rockyaboya at Navan last time and had attracted support today from 12/1 in the morning.
“I had a short trip here which was a help!” joked local trainer Cawley.
“He's been very consistent and we thought with a little bit better ground he could deliver. When I walked the track I thought this could be his day.
“Mark gave him a peach of a ride and switched him off out the back. I knew turning in he was going to be hard to beat.
“He might go to Punchestown for the two-and-a-half mile amateur race.”
