Boris De Blae in the finale, became the third winning favourite of the session at Downpatrick, taking the Racing Post (Ladies) (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race in the hands of Katie Walsh.
Walsh donned the Barry Connell silks on the Alan Fleming trained former point-to-point scorer, and not surprisingly he was never stronger than at the finish of this extended two and a quarter miler.
Second and fourth in hurdles since the 'pointing' victory, Boris De Blae got the better of Whizzzey Rascal in the final furlong, for a length and a quarter win.
Boris De Blae edged to his right inside the last, forcing Whizzzey Rascal to switch, but the victor had the better of the duel at that stage.
"He's a lazy horse and that should sharpen him up. He's a nice horse and he'll go for a maiden hurdle next. He wants nice ground," suggested Fleming.
