Blinkers do the trick for Piece Of Paradise
Piece Of Paradise (Andrew Slattery, left) wins the Tipperary opener

Bred by Michael O’Flynn’s Rockfield Farm and carrying his familiar yellow and red silks, Piece Of Paradise made it third time lucky in the Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Maiden at Tipperary.
O’Flynn owns Piece Of Paradise with Mrs Magnier and Mrs Shanahan and the Fozzy Stack-trained juvenile seemed to come forward for the addition of blinkers and a tongue-strap.
After Piece Of Paradise with Andrew Slattery up, had beaten Lady Penelope and Haemje by a length and three and a half lengths Stack said: "The blinkers were a big help. She was backing off the gate on her first couple of runs and the blinkers just concentrated her a bit.
"We thought she'd win the last twice and hopefully she can build on this. She handled the ground but came down the ambulance track so to say she wants soft ground might be a stretch of the imagination.
"I might enter her in the Listed race at the Curragh on Friday. She gets five well and might get six. It is not easy for those fillies to carry top weight in those auction races and she's after winning now which is the main thing."
