Stormie Outlook stuck her head out close home to land the spoils in the Rose Hotel Handicap at Killarney this evening.
The Edward O'Grady-trained filly had won on her return at Gowran last month and followed up under Seamie Heffernan.
He found a gap at the furlong pole to challenge on the Bated Breath filly and she bagged a narrow lead inside the final furlong, holding On Our Radar at bay to record a neck success at odds of 17/2.
Heffernan, who is celebrating his 52nd birthday today, said afterwards:-
"Her home work had been good and while the front runners made it a good pace, we got lucky as a gap appeared at the right time. She is improving and it was nice to get it."
