The record holder at Dundalk Togoville took his polytrack score to 13, following up on his course and distance success from last week in the Find Us On Twitter @DundalkStadium Handicap.
As was the case seven days earlier Conor McGovern was aboard the grey, and he gained a third win overall on the eleven-year-old, by four and a quarter lengths from St George’s Head.
Anthony McCann ’s charge made all, and ridden a furlong and a half out the veteran kept on strongly in the final furlong to post the longest winning verdict of his career.
“I don’t know what to say — he was deadly tonight,” said McCann.
“We were in two minds whether to retire him this week. We took him to the beach on Sunday morning and we couldn’t hold him so I said to Patrick McCann (owner) we should give him one more go.
“I’ve never seen him as well - he’s bouncing at home. He’s been in the spa nearly every day and he loves it. He’s just a wee legend of a horse for us.
“I’ve just seen the programme here for April and he could run here on the big finals day. Once Dundalk is over this season he will definitely be retired.
“He keeps breaking his own records. Conor gave him a great ride and it’s just brilliant for the yard.
“Since last week I have bought five more two-year-olds. I have 12 two-year-olds in now and it’s something that I’ve never had in my life.”
The Stewards informed Sarah Dawson, trainer that Silver St Cloud would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
