Biff jumps brilliantly to land Directors Chase
Bringbackthebiff a New Zealand-bred with one previous win in Ireland, put up a nice performance making virtually all to justify favouritism by five and a half lengths in the Waterford & Tramore Directors Steeplechase.
The Thomas Barr-owned eight-year-old put in an exhibition of jumping under Andrew McNamara. In first time blinkers, the Gowran beginners chase winner (on heavy ground) went clear from before the last to beat Window Of Hope
Edward O'Grady, the winning trainer, who has saddled plenty of placed horses in recent times, said: "I'm relieved he has won a race because he has been so very disappointing. He goes on that good ground and he'll continue over the summer."
Kevin Coleman, got a fall from Moscow Breeze in this contest and he suffered a collarbone injury.
