The concluding Ballyalton INH Flat Race at Downpatrick featured an exciting conclusion fought out by the leading amateurs in the business – Nina Carberry, Patrick Mullins and Derek O'Connor.
It was Nina that came out on top, aboard Benemeade This favourite swept to the front on the turn-in but he seemed to idle close home as Derek O'Connor (received a 3 day ban, using his whip above shoulder height) got a renewed effort out of pace-setting 25/1 shot, The Job Is Right (first time blinkers).
The margin between the pair at the line was three parts of a length.
Patrick Mullins' mount, Bally Longford travelled well but he couldn't change gear when required and finished in third place, just a head adrift.
Noel Meade trains Benemeade for the All Four Partnership and he said: "Job done! When you miss out on two bumpers you wonder about going again but I like him and I think he ran into a good one last time (3rd at Fairyhouse behind Milan Bound).
"He goes on good ground so I might give him a break and run him again in the summer." (MG & EM)
