Time Queen the 9/4 favourite from 4/1 on track, and from bigger earlier, led home a James Barrett 1-2 in the Listowel Arms Handicap.
Second here last year, the daughter of Camacho shed her maiden tag at the fifth time of asking on this occasion.
She got the better of her first-time blinkered pace-setting stable companion King Of Leinster inside the last to win by two lengths.
Time Queen is owned locally by Timmy Brosnan and Kristine Griffin, and the former said: “We were delighted to get the soft ground — we needed the rain last night.
“She looked a picture and we made hay when the rain came.”
Gavin Ryan did the steering and he commented: “She ran very well in Killarney a few weeks ago, and we knew with a bit of ease in the ground today that she would be bang there. She went away and did it well.
"She's an improving filly and she's going to come on again from that.
"Her owners live near the course so it's good to get a winner for them. They are lovely people and always put me up when they can.
"I'm 18, from Tipperary, and I'm doing my leaving cert this year. I'm apprenticed to Mr Bolger and he's very good to me and supports me a lot."
