Jimmy Finn saddled Coldstonesober to finish second in the preceding race and in the It's Summer Time Handicap Chase at 4.45 he went a place better when Ballyfinboy bounced back to form in the hands of Kevin Sexton.
Already a winner around Downpatrick in the past, the game grey left behind a couple of indifferent efforts, bossing things from early and then fending off House Limit and Personal Shopper on the run-in by a length and a half and half a length.
Finn was leading up and he quickly commented: "It's grand to collect it, it was a poor enough race. He just wasn't firing there, he was a bit flat. He got cast one night and was a bit sore."
J.M. Moore, rider of Sounds Of Thunder (GB) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having gone lame in running.
