Apt Manor but only just
Apt Manor benefited from a strong Ruby Walsh drive to justify odds of 4/7 in the Mocha Beans Mares Maiden Hurdle at Galway. Style Of Campile the second favourite (6s into 5s) looked like she'd prevail when travelling best into the straight but Walsh wasn't taking no for an answer from the Willie Mullins-trained winner and he got her up near the line to prevail by a neck.
Gary Davies, representing Mullins, said: "Willie said she'd be sticking to novice hurdles for the time being."
Apt Manor was a second odds-on winner in as many races at Galway, following on from Prima Vista in the opener.
