Master Appeal ran out a convincing winner of the Derrygrath Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel for trainer John Kiely.
Ger Fox produced the 4/1 shot to lead turning for home in the three-miler and he powered clear going to the second last.
The Brian Boru gelding galloped on strongly in the closing stages to post an 11-length victory.
The winner had been all out to score at Tramore last month and was tackling three miles for the first times today.
"He is improving a bit, likes these up and down tracks and while he travelled into it easily, tired a bit in the end," said Kiely.
"We'll try for another handicap hurdle but he'll jump a fence in time.
"I'm delighted for the syndicate (two member Express Racing Syndicate from Cork) as they're good owners and that's their third horse to win with me, from four horses."
