Another Mullins in the Winner's Enclosure
Gerard Mullins, owner of Duninga Gallops and a nephew of Paddy, trained his first winner when Bachelor Affair ran away with the Poulboy Handicap Hurdle under the in-form Tommy Treacy. He won by five lengths from Golden Hare
Mullins said: "The owner, Mary Greene is an immediate neighbour and I'm delighted for the family. Martin, her son, rides him out every morning."
Bachelor Affair was returned a 14/1 chance here and he was having his second start for Mullins having previously run in this country for Pat Hughes.
