Agent Zigzag drew well clear of his rivals to get off the mark in good style in the extended mile maiden at Killarney.
John Oxx 's Shamardal gelding was 5/6 favourite on the back of being beaten a neck at Cork earlier in the month.
The four-year-old tracked Hawthorn Echo and then tanked into the lead with a quarter of a mile to go.
Colm O'Donoghue shook him up and he readily went clear coming to the final furlong.
He proved different class to his rivals as he posted a seven-length victory. Dream Focus (8/1) finished second, a couple of lengths up on 9/2 chance Dragon Phoenix
John Oxx said: "He has improved a bit from race to race. He is getting into the swing of it now and we'll see what the handicapper does now.
"He is a nice, big, good-looking horse. We didn't run him as a two-year-old and had a setback last year and we ran out of time. It has taken him this long to become a racehorse.
"He gets through the heavy ground but he's a bit better when it dries."
