Owner Sean Gallagher had the runner-up in the first split, Guanabara Bay but his yellow and green silks were carried to success in division two of the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Handicap at Dundalk courtesy of 25/1 chance Arlecchino's Rock
Five to four favourite Ahlan Bil Zain had to switch to get a run towards the business end, but the Dermot McLoughlin-trained and Killian Leonard-ridden outsider was able to contain all comers by three parts of a length and more. Eacharn took the runner-up spot with Ahlan Bil Zain a neck back in third.
"We couldn't get him into a race as we kept getting balloted out," said McLoughlin.
"He was first reserve at Gowran last week and I wanted to run him but I couldn't get him in either.
"He won last year on this surface and this was his first run this year here for us. He likes the surface and came home well.
"He'll tip away here. He's well enough handicapped now so we'll keep at him."
