Temasek Star is not to be denied under Conor McGovern, from My Manekineko

It was another good night for Michael Halford and his many followers on the polytrack at Dundalk. Earlier successful with the Conor Hoban-ridden pair, Russian Soul and Roman Impero the Copper Beech Stables operator topped off the night as Temasek Star short-headed My Manekineko in the finale.
Seven pound claimer Conor McGovern rode Temasek Star, as he did when the son of Soviet Star scored by a neck here over the course and distance a fortnight back.
On this occasion in the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap, the 9/2 victor was never far away.
He toughed it out well from over a furlong out to hold My Manekineko.
"He's tough as nails. He's a fierce genuine horse and appreciates that mile-and-a-half now," said Halford.
"He got into a lovely position and travelled into the straight well. He's all heart and didn't want to get beat.
"Conor is riding great and is great value for his 7lb.
"It's a great finish to a great night."
