After race at Galway Mon, 30th Jul, 2018 (1st)
There was very little between three or four of them. I ended up in front at the back of the second-last and Barry got a tow all the way up and obviously gave him a good ride. Ciaran O’Toole rang yesterday morning to say he was available and you have to use him. I have a big string at the minute and it’s getting bigger. I’m just looking to get a better calibre of horse and hopefully step up a notch. All you can do is keep chipping away and working hard. I’m lucky that I have great staff and great owners plus my parents behind me.

After race at Limerick Sun, 8th Jul, 2018 (1st)
He deserved it as he had been knocking on the door all year and had been consistent but always ran into one. He picked up for me today and I'd say the cheekpieces helped him today as he used to be free but was now a little lairy in the closing stages. He was gutsy and I wouldn’t think the handicapper can move him too much. There's a two mile race on the Friday at Galway for him next and it's good for Kevin (McConnell) and his wife Bernie who came down from Tyrone to watch him; they were in Portlaoise to see the footballers win last night and came on here today so they're on the double as well.
