Reports in which Quickpick Vic (IRE) was mentioned
Gigginstown and Cooper double up
The jumping of the some of the five participants in the Grade 3 Naas Directors Plate Novice Chase didn't always convince and a failure to negotiate the fences safely ultimately decided things in favour of Bright New Dawn. This victory brought up a double for Gigginstown House Stud (also on the score-sheet at the 'point' in Lingstown) and Bryan Cooper as the Dessie Hughes-trained Bright New Dawn added to the earlier gains for the 'maroon and white' with Empire Of Dirt (Colm Murphy). Sun 09th MarOne, two for Gigginstown in Naas' second
A 325,000 Euro purchase in his time, as a three-year-old, Empire Of Dirt landed the Listed Irish Racing Writers Kingsfurze Novice Hurdle as Gigginstown House Stud sent out the first two with their The Game Changer filling the runner-up spot in the second at Naas. Trainer Sharon Dunphy recorded her first National Hunt success as her Pumbaa sprang a bit of a surprise in the bumper at Limerick, the GGL Security 24/7 Alarm & CCTV Monitoring Flat Race. Wed 26th DecGood start for Owen as he wallops Vic
Tony Martin described Quickpick Vic as "a very nice horse" in a recent stable tour and he was the one for money in the concluding Bobbyjo Bistro INH Flat Race at Fairyhouse. However he bumped into something that could be well out of the ordinary in the shape of the easy-to-back joint favourite Owen Mc. Wed 07th Nov
After race at Leopardstown Sun, 26th Jan, 2014 (1st)
I think he's (Quickpick Vic) very good but it has just taken him a long time to learn and grow up. He can be very free but when he put it together at Naas last year he won very well. I probably shouldn't have brought him to Liverpool because mentally he wasn't ready for it. He had a nice run at Christmas and benefited a lot from it; he's plenty good enough to be entered up for the novice hurdles.

After race at Naas Sun, 10th Mar, 2013 (1st)
That's a real good horse. He has been unlucky a couple of times as things just didn't go right for him. He is as good a horse as I have. He is really a Cheltenham horse and you might see him there next year over hurdles. He might go for the bumper at Aintree now.
