Today was the plan for a while and it is great when it works. He is a grand little horse and it was a great ride by Shane. He drifted to the stands' side, but it was good riding by Shane as he left him roll along. I was afraid the ground was getting a bit dry for him, but he is an honest little horse and is a credit to everyone.

We minded him well at home and he didn't do anything all year, but we brought him to the beach and looked after him and he did it great here this evening. He's a tough horse. We took a chance that there was enough ease in the ground and there was, just about. He battled it out great, he outstayed them. The horses are in real good order and it's been a great evening. That's our seventh winner of the season. Any small trainer who does his job right can take on the biggest yards in Ireland. Give us the ammunition and we'll do the job.

It’s great to get a Galway winner. Robbie (Geoghegan) that works with me was meant to ride him but his car broke down on the way. He’s a special little horse and we’ve been waiting all summer to run him. We couldn’t run him with the quick ground. I fancied the life out of him today and thought he couldn’t be beaten. He’s right down low in the handicap and is a very honest horse. He’s won five races for the boys and they’ll celebrate it. Shane gave him a great ride. He rides work for me in the Curragh sometimes and he did exactly what he was told. The little horse stays all day and will go for something similar again.

he’s a real fun horse that jumps and stays. He’d 9st7lb on his back today and was entitled to be competitive. He did it well. We were worried about the ground as it was raining down our side this morning but it’s way better than they are saying. It’s on the good side of yielding. He might go to Listowel as long as the ground is not too soft and is belonging to two great lads, Darragh and Pat Gleeson — a nephew and uncle from Dunmore near Tuam, who enjoy it.

he’s a lovely horse belonging to two great owners of ours (Addergoole More Partnership). He was right down in the weights and he did it well. The ground turned right for him because he loves yielding ground. He jumped like a stag and Gavin gave him a great spin. You can’t beat a lad who’ll do what he’s told - he went wide so as not to be on the chopped-up ground. He’ll go for something similar in a fortnight’s time.

He’s a great little fun horse. The lads (Addergoole More Partnership) are a really sound bunch and they will enjoy themselves tonight. We’re delighted with him and he really toughened it out over three miles and one. Darragh O’Keeffe gave him a great ride, and he’ll go for something similar again.

My horses weren't right until recently and that win was a needed one. He wants niceish ground and could run at Ballinrobe on Tuesday,.
