Ballysteen jumps to it in opener
The opening Templemore Beginners Chase at Thurles proved a typically incident-packed event with Ballysteen coming out on top in the 2m2f contest. Thu 20th MarNice finish for Gigginstown/Elliott and Russell
Davy Russell was in pursuit of a double, Bryan Cooper a treble, when the pair sported the Gigginstown House Stud silks for the concluding Panoramic Restaurant 49 Euro Raceday Hospitality Beginners Chase at Punchestown. It was the former that prevailed, but not before the latter had suffered some bad luck. Wed 16th OctLocal Celebrity catches the eye

Ballysteen came home a cosy winner of the opening maiden hurdle at Cork after his task was made much easier at the first flight. Wed 23rd NovCeleb finally gets the limelight
The decision to change tactics and make all did the trick for Local Celebrity, trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by his son Patrick, as he justified favouritism in the bumper at Clonmel. Thu 27th OctShark feasts on a Listowel double

Miss Hyland made it a brave front running performance when taking the concluding Go Racing In Kildare Flat Race in the hands of Andrew Duff. Mon 02nd Aug
After race at Sligo Sun, 6th May, 2012 (1st)
He runs in the colours of a few lads from Trinity [TCD Horse Racing Society Club] but none of them could make it up here as they all have exams next week. He's a fantastic hurdler and his jump at the last probably won it for him. I think two miles is his best trip. If he jumps fences as well he will be all right. He will probably go over fences sooner rather than later.

After race at Navan Sat, 10th Dec, 2011 (1st)
I'd be totally against the way they have laid out the track today, with island hurdles and no railing. In races like that with 25 inexperienced hurdlers I would have to say it is a step back to the old days . it is a bit like a point to point.

After race at Clonmel Thu, 27th Oct, 2011 (1st)
We were probably not making enough use of him before and the change of tactics was certainly a help. He'll go jumping now.
