He was last at the top of the hill but had the patience to wait, and it worked out well. The horse had been coming on real well since Leopardstown and this is great for Liam. When they turned in and started to pick up I knew he would win. Liam never chased him. This man has shown when he gets the rub of the green he’s as good as anyone. He hasn’t always enjoyed the breaks you hope for, but when I want to claim I wouldn’t look past him.

That was brilliant, very sweet. That's what it's all about, having days like this with the people that are involved. Touch wood the horses are running very well and we'll make hay while the sun shines. He had a few hiccups and last year he missed a lot of time. He's after coming good and showing his worth now. We always thought this would be his job down the road. He won't go to Cheltenham, definitely not. He was there in November, it didn't work out and he didn't like it.

It was a good performance. He had me frightened as it was the plan to be mid-division but with lads like that all you can do is leave it to them,. He said he wasn't carrying him the way he wanted and he just gave him a chance, it all worked out well. He quickened up well. Today has been in my head for the past three or four months. Unfortunately the boys couldn't get over, they were all set to come, but they'll celebrate anyway.

He’d a good run in Listowel and obviously learned a lot from it. He’s still a relatively young horse in a handicap. The jockey was very good on him and was able to get plenty of light even though he went the inner. It worked out well and good people own him. He’s entered again tomorrow (in a three mile handicap hurdle at this track) and we’ll see how he is in the morning. It’s an option.
