Reports in which Dai Bando (IRE) was mentioned
Competitive Jack Duggan in prospect
The long-standing Jack Duggan Memorial Handicap Hurdle, again this year supported by Ladbrokes, has drawn a typically strong field for what is these days a three-mile event at Gowran. Sat 20th JunKalkir puts down a marker
In a division awaiting a horse to step forward and make a statement Willie Mullins' Kalkir did just that when landing the Grade 3 Bar One Racing Juvenile 3-y-o Hurdle at Fairyhouse on his Irish debut. Sun 30th NovScooping wins for Delany/Maxwell
The Eamoon Delany trained Scooping belied her 50/1 odds (paid 208/1 on the Tote) when winning the opening Value Cabs 3YO Hurdle at Down Royal today, scoring on her hurdle debut for jockey Conor Maxwell. Sat 01st NovReview punchestown 15th Oct
Gordon Elliott landed a treble at Punchestown, culminating in Un Beau Matin's success in the Panoramic Restaurant Raceday Hospitality Beginners ChaseWed 15th Oct
Dai scores on hurdle debut
Andrew McNamara was unveiled as secretary of the newly formed Irish Injured Jockeys Board at a pre-racing launch in Punchestown, and he marked the occasion when successful on the track aboard Dai Bando in the Go Racing In Kildare 3YO Maiden Hurdle. Wed 15th Oct
After race at Punchestown Wed, 15th Oct, 2014 (1st)
He's jumped well from the word go. He's taken to hurdles well, and Andy said after turning into the straight he got a bit lonely and that's why he missed the last. Apart from that he jumped great and I'd say he'll only improve. He might go for the winners' race in Down Royal. He's stronger this year, and we should have a bit of fun with him. He still has a reasonable mark on the flat. He'll stick to jumping for now but maybe after Christmas we could look at going back on the flat. He wouldn't want it too heavy as he's not over-big.
