O'Keeffe and de Bromhead fire in double with Butch Cassidy
Butch Cassidy outgunned Sermandzarak after a pulsating battle in the Sebden Steel Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown. Sat 23rd NovButch Cassidy justifies favouritism in Ballinrobe bumper
Philip Fenton has a lovely young horse on his hands in Butch Cassidy who justified 9/4 favouritism in the John Madden & Sons INH Flat Race. Fri 19th Apr
After race at Punchestown Sat, 23rd Nov, 2024 (1st)
He’s a lovely big horse and a real chaser in the making. He has loads of size and scope and he gallops. He’s big and raw and we felt whatever he did today, that he’d improve. He has a good attitude. I didn’t get a schooling hurdle into him which I would have liked, but his jumping improved as the race went on. Darragh was brilliant on him and delighted to get a winner for the Magniers who are fantastic supporters.
Henry De Bromhead
After race at Ballinrobe Fri, 19th Apr, 2024 (1st)
He's a nice horse and I'd say there's a lot of improvement to come,. He's a beautiful-looking horse, a big chaser in the making and he has lots of fences jumped which is a big help. He was good and genuine there when challenged and I spoke with Sam (Curling, trainer of Swingin Safari) earlier on and he liked his horse. I was liking my fella too, but it just goes to show you that you never have anything up your sleeve. We'll take our time with him and hopefully he's a nice prospect for us.
