he showed his class when he straightened up going to the last and had a change of gear. I was amazed at the speed he showed and how he has retained it is extraordinary. We'll find another conditions race for him now, something similar, and will be aimed more towards the Punchestown Festival.

I'm delighted! He disappointed the last day at Leopardstown, not even where he finished, but how he travelled during the race - it wasn't like him. Maybe he was a bit off the boil but it's nice to get the win out of the way. The weight allowance was a big help and we'll go handicapping and see how he goes. He's still a big baby and is a nice one to look forward to.

Martin (Ferris) did a good job. The whole secret to him is jumping . you don't ask him, he has his own way of jumping. Today he was brilliant. He has now won two races and that's more than a lot of them have done! We'll look for something similar next.

Newcomer Blanc preserves clean sheet

I bought Ange Blanc as a two year old in Saint Cloud and he is a gorgeous looking horse, very tall. I think he is going to be very good, he is still weak and backward and with the heavy ground today, I thought this was going to be too soon for him but it wasn't a puff out of him and he handled it well. He's out of a half-sister to Harchibald and is a nice prospect and may have one more run in the spring before going hurdling next year - he jumps brilliantly.

Nina completes bumpers double

In The Binyanis is a grand horse and is for sale. He wants a trip, two and a half or three miles and will be a grand horse to go jumping. He should win a few over hurdles and actually isn't really a bumper horse.
