Conron beats the market principals under Power
I'm delighted with him. He's just been crying out all summer for a big galloping track,. He'll stay further next year. He might get another couple of runs, I wouldn't run him this year on very heavy ground. He'll go away for the winter and come back in the spring. Next summer he'll go two-and-a-half. He's still very babyish. Robbie had to ride him into the hurdles all the way down the back. He stayed on really well and jumped super. He made one mistake early on, they went quick and I'd say he was just inexperienced. He's getting there, he's a big horse.

Smooth success for Slippery Serpent
It's a great thrill to be able to win with him with the syndicate he's got. Hopefully Maria (O'Grady's late wife) was giving him a little push. He's a lovely horse insofar as he can run on the Flat and probably could go chasing as well. I'm pleased today is over and we'll see what the future brings. I'm delighted for the girls who have been so kind to support what was Maria's original syndicate.

Rome stays on strongly under Codd for Dreaper
That was the plan all along, to come here today on a galloping track over three miles on that kind of ground,. Jamie gets a great tune out of him and we'll keep going as long as the ground is like that. The Potts always liked having winners at Punchestown and the family still want to have winners at Punchestown. They had a lot of big days here in bigger races than this but it's nice to win another race for them of any description. He was well in today in a low grade race and he's going to have to step up a bit the next day. He either will or he won't but I wouldn't be surprised if he has a winters grass ahead of him and he might come back next spring. He's a big strong narrow horse. We might look at next spring and try and win something similar again, see if he can pay his way and keep everyone smiling.

Chapmanshype puts himself in the shop window
He's nice and I thinks he excels on nice ground,. Aizavoski is a very good sire. He's always worked really well this horse and I just thought we'd get a real good notch of improvement out of him on the good ground. He got a beautiful ride as he let it all happen up front and then went and got them. He has a good speedy pedigree so it was the right race to run him in and I'm very very pleased. I'm still trying to convince everybody I can train winners too but he will have to be sold. Rob (Tector) that led him up today owns most of him and he's the breeder as well. It'll get him a few quid and get him started. He worked for Willie for two years and he's back with me for the last year. It's great for him and hopefully he'll sell.
